“Ïsrael’s Nationalisation of International Law” is the title of an article in Hebrew which executive director Marwan Dalal submitted to the Israeli journal Theory and Criticism in early April this year. The journal’s response received recently noted the importance of the topic and the quality of writing. However, given the style and nature of the article it recommended to submit it to a legal journal.

 

The article is written by a legalist, but it includes significant portions that are critical and do not necessarily adhere to legal thinking. Considering the sociological and political topography of legal journals in Israel we do not think that the article would receive genuine review without significantly deconstructing its purpose.
